Experience playing music: I began playing music while still in diapers, and was performing on stage by age 8. During my adolescence, I was classically trained and had a huge jazz influence as well. Attending Berklee College of Music and living in cities such as Boston, New York, and Paris, has broadened my musical knowledge substantially. I have toured internationally and play everything from rock, country, and funk, to fusion and straight ahead jazz.
Bands played in: I have had the honor of playing with world renown musicians such as: Sean Rickman, Thomas Pridgen, Anthony Wellington, JD Blair, Gary Grainger, Reginald Wooten, and Roy Wooten. Currently, I gig and play sessions with various bands in the DMV, NYC, Philly, and Nashville. I am also working with my jazz fusion band, Fluency.
Genres of music taught: Classical, Jazz, R&B, Funk, Rock, Country, Smooth Jazz, and Gospel.
Education: Berklee College of Music, Dual-Bachelor's Degree in Music Business and Music Production & Engineering, with a concentration in voice.
Personal teaching style/philosophy: "I give my students the toolbox they need for the gigs they don't know about yet!" I like to cater lessons to the students desires, keeping lessons fun and educational. I believe in teaching techniques and theory in order to prepare students to play whatever style/song they desire.
